The friendly atmosphere always keeps customers coming back for more. Whether you’re in the mood for vegetarian or meat dishes, Kinara will definitely satisfy all your Indian food cravings.
Seekh Kababa—Minced lamb on skewers
Daal Makhani—Blackgrain lentil with tomato flavor
Chicken Tikka—Marinated in ginger, garlic, and yogurt
Whole Fish—Red snapper, marinated and cooked with spices

We love Kinara for classically good Indian food. Their take-out special is perfect for a really decadent meal. Excellent food and fast service.

Food is decent, management is terrible, and delivery is always an issue. This will be the last time I order from this place. The company tell their delivery associates to always complain about tips. I always provide 15-20% and the continue to complain. Avoid this place, and do yourself a favour and order from the other 40 indian places that are available.,

Terrible service. Tasteless Tikka Chicken. Forget my pickles and chilies. Misery.

I order from here a lot but that night the food was incredibly fresh. Always delicious!

A little too much cinnamon or clove or something ruined the curry for me. The kacha app was a dense thick mess of leftover day old samosas. Nan was good. I might try one more time before I decide to write them off. Could've been an off night I guess.

Great food, fast and accurate. Malai kofta is tasty, go get it.

Very solid but run-of-the mill Brooklyn Indian style restaurant. Saag Paneer some of the best i have had.

Good food/shoddy service.
Moved to the neighborhood about one week ago and have eaten here several times. While it is not as good as my favorite Indian spots in Manhattan (Banjara/Tamarind), it is still very yummy and the food has always come very quickly.
Service is a little shoddy though. On my most recent order, I opened the door to a frowny delivery guy who immediately and continuously complained about having to walk up the stairs to my apartment. I was a little taken aback by the unprofessionalism especially considering that the restaurant is literally 1/2 block away so it's not like he had to work all that hard.

I have ordered from this place a few times and find the quality to be better than most other Indian places in the area. I always ask for pickles in the optional condiments section and they never send them. : (

I am Bangladeshi and feel that South Asian food in NY doesn't compare to London or the original cities. However, Kinara is above average for a neighborhood restaurant, even compared to Curry row and Curry hill in Manhattan. The Panir Bhujeree is really yummy.

I've tried couple of other Indian restaurants, but Kinara's the best!!! I love the Tikka Masala!!!!! but their service is not as good as their food, not nice...

This place is always top notch. Only problem I have ever had with them was a delivery guy complaining about his tip. I was gunna give him cash to pad it out but not after he whined about it. Sucks for that guy at least.

Not a fan, food average but staff is rude and unreasonable.

I've never gone wrong at this place. I've tried the Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka, Korma and a few other things. It's always delicious, and the delivery time is pretty good too.

Order came in less than 30 minutes--a welcome rarity in Seamlessland. Malai was still steaming hot and the mango lassi cool. Naan was less than stellar but hot, and overall the food was much better seasoned and fresh than other local Indian joints. Will def order again.

We like it.

Took an hour to get the food - when I called to check the guy on the phone was pretty rude. But the food WAS good; small portions, though.

Doesn't deserve more than a star. Also no utensils in bag and missing some condiment.

Sooo good, I will definitely order again. The spice was right on, I ordered medium as usual, but often I say medium and it's completely bland and then order hot and it blows my ears off, this was ACTUALLY medium! Also, I love raita and ordered an extra and it was a full container, not an itty bitty serving. Everything tasted really bright and fresh.

Kinara is the best! Their food is consistently good, their delivery is consistently quick. I highly recommend Kinara- either delivery or eat-in.

Always have a choice for ordering optionals but never deliver them (eg papad, red onion etc). wonder why they even have it on the website. Food is decent.

The quality has diminished over the past 4 years. Pity. Was very good before.

I normally like my food with some kick, but everything was way, way, way too spicy.

"Subpar" is the best word to use for this Indian restaurant. Even though we started off on a bad foot (they got my order wrong and had to redeliver the right thing—I thought the point of Seamless was that there would be no ambiguity since it's all written out!), but that wasn't enough for me to write them off.
What was? Their chicken. Ech. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Main Meal, which is plain, boneless charbroiled chicken breast. Blech—just the most overcooked mess I have ever tasted. I could only eat bits and pieces of each cube—the outside would be cooked OK, but the more you nibbled, the more you discovered the tough-as-nails-yet-rubbery overcooked center.
Don't do it unless you're desperate!

Chana masal was quite good; I thought malai kofta was good but my husband thought it was great.

my go-to FAVorite indian delivery in the neighborhood!

Kinara stands out in the drove of indian restaurants by excelling at seasoning and managing to make their fried foods not too greasy. As a dedicated Chicken Tikka Masala orderer (medium spicy please) I can certainly say that theirs is amongst the more delicious. Tart and tangy sauce, tender chicken, good naan...what else do you need?
Posted 2 years ago by Zach W.
So far remains the champion provider of chicken tikka masala & samosa in the area, superior flavor and quality.

not impressed. bland, gross fried veggies, too expensive. doesn't hold a candle to sapid.

Very tasty. My girlfriend loves the samosas...they are pretty big and come drenched in sauce. Though she is a fan of this, I wasn't so much. Would rather add my own sauces - still, they were very good.

more expensive than bombay, and not quite as good

Such good Indian food both in and out of the restaurant. Perfect every time when I need my Indian food fix :) Their takeout special is where it's at! so much food!

Ordered the chicken korma and chicken vindaloo. Completely disappointed. The chicken in both dishes was EXTREMELY dry. The korma sauce was thin and not very flavorful. The vindaloo did not go down well. The samosas and the naan were perfectly good, but not enough to mask the bad entrees.

I've ordered from here several times and can't say I was ever disappointed. Standard Indian fare, always prompt, great value. It's pretty simple, but pretty good.

Horrible Food, Service is ok. Too expensive for the quality of food.

yum! they never disappoint. a neighborhood gem
Posted 3 years ago by Erin F.
extremely greasy aloo matar gobi, like about 50% oil---it was like an oil based soup. very dry and stale garlic naan. the samosas, however, were tasty.
Posted 3 years ago by Becky F.
Mango Chutney! Kinara forgot to give me my extra mango chutney...how can you forget the extra mango chutney?!?!
Also, the food quality was not so good.
If you think Kinara is good Indian food, then you have some more learning to do.

I ordered the takeout special, which, under most circumstances, is totally a great steal right? Yeah, except the lamb rogan josh I got was literally swimming in oil. The sauce had separated and there was pretty much 2 inches of oil in the container. Disgusting. (The lamb was also fairly tough.) The chicken lentil soup I got was pretty much chicken broth with maybe a tablespoon or two worth of pureed lentil. I was in the mood for soup, so it worked, but not really impressive. The naan was yummy, not the best I've ever had, but it worked. The condiments were all fairly, well, gross again. I really don't know how this place has such a high rating, it makes me le sad that I wasted $16.

Solid Indian joint.
A little pricey. Also, don't need rice with every entree (it's Indeian food, guys, c'mon).

This Indian food is probably the best I've had since moving to NY. In addition, my orders are always complete and timely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Really tasty Indian food, and very accomodating when it comes to delivering somewhere new and exciting - personally, I was floored!
